About Us

Jill's Pet Palace started in the fall of 2006 when my mother struggled with finding suitable care for her beloved Maltese when she went on vacation. I saw her frustation and how much she agonized over not finding a place that she felt comfortable leaving "Flowie." Not one facility met her and her dogs needs. She really wanted an enviroment that was as close to home as possible. I observed all this thinking there must be a better way, thus Jill's Pet Palace was born. No boarding facility can be as convenient or familiar as your pets own home.

Since then we have cared for dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits, rats, snakes, iguanas, bearded dragons and a pig! The list keeps growing as families learn there is an alternative to expensive per animal care at a facility away from home.

I have been an animal lover forever.

I've had dogs, cats and horses for

pets. Boys used to make fun of me

for chasing snakes, I even caught two

on the morning of my wedding!

Working for a neighbor in high school,

I helped her walk dogs she boarded,

fed her horses, cats, ferrets, turtles

and fish. I taught horseback riding a

few summers at RRR Ranch in Chesapeake VA. Currently our family

has a shepherd mix mutt

named Zeus, he is a wonderful

rescue dog from SOAR.

Jamie

Jamie was first pet sitter to join our team. She also loves caring for animals. As a 10 yr old she began a hamster training service. Neighbors paid Jamie to purchase and train the hamster by holding them and spending time with them to make them friendly before taking them into their own home. She worked for the Covina Animal Hospital as a voluneer in high school and thought about becoming a veterinarian. In college she house sat and also cared for their pets.
